Development Officer Dashboard

The Development Officer dashboard connects institutional advancement staff with the research activity happening across the institution. It tracks donor engagement, fundraising performance, and surfaces compelling research stories that can be used in communications and stewardship.

Donor Engagement

A summary of recent donor interactions linked to research programs. Each entry shows the donor name (or anonymized identifier), the research area or project they support, the date and type of last interaction (meeting, email, event attendance), and an engagement score. This score is calculated from interaction frequency and recency, helping you prioritize outreach.

Fundraising Metrics

Key performance indicators for your development portfolio: total raised this fiscal year, number of gifts, average gift size, donor retention rate, and pipeline value (projected gifts from active prospects). A progress bar shows performance against your annual goal.

Research Highlights

A curated feed of notable research achievements across the institution: high-impact publications, major grant awards, conference keynotes, patent filings, and media mentions. Each highlight includes a brief summary, the researchers involved, and a link to the full details. Use these highlights as raw material for newsletters, donor reports, and social media.

Impact Stories

Pre-drafted narratives that connect donor contributions to tangible research outcomes. AcaTrove generates these by linking funded projects to their publications, citations, and real-world applications. You can edit, approve, and export stories for use in stewardship communications.

  1. Weekly outreach planning -- Review Donor Engagement at the start of each week. Identify donors with declining engagement scores and schedule touchpoints.
  2. Monthly reporting -- Use Fundraising Metrics to prepare monthly performance reports for advancement leadership. Export data using the download icon.
